Meaning behind "Trust no one"

Image
Dictionary definition: If you trust someone, you believe that they are honest and sincere and will not deliberately do anything to harm you. `I trust you completely,' he said...    V n He did argue in a general way that the president can't be trusted. It literally means not to trust anyone - more generally, it is a quote used to promote individualism and independence. It promotes skepticism of humanity, saying that people are mostly selfish in their actions and will act only to benefit themselves. Let me share a short story with you: A little girl and her father were crossing a bridge. The father was kind of scared so he asked his little daughter: "Sweetheart, please hold my hand so that you don't fall into the river." The little girl said: "No, Dad. You hold my hand." "What's the difference?" Asked the puzzled father. "There's a big difference," replied the little girl. "If I hold your hand and somethin

Self trust is good

Image
Do you have issues trusting other people? Are you positive that the only one you can count on 100% is yourself? Some people argue that you have to trust other people in order to live a happy, fulfilling life. While that may be true to a certain extent because you can’t shut everyone out, you can’t overlook the importance of trusting yourself first and foremost. So often we get sidelined by others. They mislead us, whether intentionally or not, and cause us to go down the wrong path. Before we know it, we’re in the middle of something we swore we’d never do, wondering how we got there. While clearly not everyone has ulterior motives, the problem comes in when we don’t listen to and trust ourselves from the beginning. So, how do you do that? Know yourself intimately. Understand how you think and feel so that you know when you’re at risk of making a bad decision. You can do this a number of ways. You can: Make lists. Write down your strengths, weaknesses, triggers, thoughts a

Trusting others

Image
It's a pessimistic outlook. Perhaps it's also a simple, individualistic and somewhat paranoid outlook. The reverse might be "trust everyone", which is almost as exaggerated. Sadly, even though most people perform better in a trusting, open environment, most social contexts have varying degrees of distrust and you can expect a great deal of backstabbing, sabotage, gossip and power struggles in nearly every power-hierarchy-based structure/organisation, and oftentimes even in those contexts in which there's theoretically no such hierarchy. Here's my own perspective: "Trust anyone to be what they are, according to their nature" This might mean that you'd have to get an idea about how and what people are, on a case-to-case basis. This is both time consuming and an effort on your part. If you are good at it, you will trust people and find them predictable in their behaviour and motivation. You will be able to trust criminals to be what they a

Warning about Christianity and it's Faith

It's one thing to profess the faith and another thing to live it out. So live more of reconciliation, love, forgiveness, kindness etc the fruit of the spirit. You call yourself a Christian, what does it mean if your values are contrary to the faith you profess. So what's the point of proclaiming that you are a believer if you are betraying that Faith by the way you live your lifestyle. #Q-experience_exhortor

Tackling anxiety

What is anxiety?   The words “worry” and “anxious” are often used interchangeably. While the words are definitely related, psychologists define worry and anxiety differently. The symptoms of worry show in the brain differently than the symptoms of anxiety. Worry is short-lived concerned about a particular situation. Anxiety is a constant feeling of stress, unease, or worry. Worry is momentary, where as anxiety is often long lasting. Anxiety can be defined as awareness working against you. It’s an intense awareness of what  could  go wrong or what  is  going wrong. Anxiety is never founded in truth or reality; it's a fear that sinks in as you become aware of all the possibilities of what's "wrong". The devil uses anxiety to cloud our minds to believe that everything that could go wrong will. In Philippians, we see that Paul is encouraging the church to not be anxious; but to bring our anxieties to God. He shows us that when we do this, the peace of God will guar

Relationship Advice to Ladies and Gentlemen

Image
A lot of people say that “actions speak louder than words” in relationships. And that might be true to some extent. But you shouldn’t make the mistake of thinking that words don’t matter at all. There is still value in being a good communicator in a relationship; and you can really tell a lot about how a person feels about you based on what they say to you. Don’t be so quick to dismiss the bad things that he tells you because these can be huge red flags for serious issues that may plague your relationship in the future. And you don’t want that. You don’t want to be blindsided by any terrible behavior that your partner may have. And that’s why you really need to be paying attention to the things that he’s telling you. If you find that your partner is genuinely guilty of saying all of these things to you, then you should be worried. That is an indication that his feelings for you just aren’t ideal; and it’s probably best for you to just leave him already. You deserve to be with so

Why Should your Children play Chess

Image
Chess is extremely helpful in brain development, particularly when it is played regularly from a very early age. Mentioned below are some of the most important benefits that children can avail by practicing chess on a regular basis – 1. 2k18 Lesson Nov

"I've come to realize that heaven is not for good people it's for forgiven people."

Forgive and Forget

1. What is the use of re-reading the old chapter Do you have a solid answer of this question that by not forgiving you actually are re-reading that rigid chapter over and over again, what are you getting in result? Any clue? Yes, its like you are wasting some very precious moments of your life by turning your back at them as you are holding something of your past that is gone. So, understand this that life is precious cherish it with good moments and make a moment worth-living by forgiving others. 2. You need to forgive because you need to be at peace As long as you are holding a grudge against someone then you actually are destroying your inner peace, so for your own tranquility of heart and mind just learn to let go things. 3. Move on with a new you When you forgive someone you ease your own self because you literally don’t linger anymore what had done rather you decide to move on. So, move on with pride with a new you. 4. Forgiving nature is the strength one’s char

Life is more than just breathing and surviving. Life is like chess and chess can be better described through the word of God or vice versa...it all ends with God's word which is life.

Does your background or past influence your present time?

We are very conditioned by our genetic inheritance, social construct  and our experiences but I do not think anything other than our personal choices can determine what becomes of us- with the exception of dire circumstances. I've been following the developments in some of the very empoverished and marginalized Rroma. A beautiful group hoped that in a matter of 12 years, they hope to get at least one young Rroma youth out of there and help them integrate and succeed, in the hope that that person returns and inspires a couple of more- and in the span of decades, perhaps, a good portion of the community will be transformed. i took this example because we are talking about a community where abuse of every kind is rampant, there is no education (they have access to it but do not value or believe in it), children are sent out to beg at very young ages and the idea of working for an earning is quasi Non existent. Furthermore, many of them have been exposed to alcohol or drugs in uter

4 Facts about chess

I have discovered certain facts about the game which relate to human cognitive processes: Memory Improvement Chess has done wonders for people in this area. Players of all levels have admitted that their general memory has significantly improved as a result of over-the-board play and home analysis. The nature of the game is such that the visual aspects of the game (positional configurations, anticipated piece movements, diagonals, ranks, files, etc.) make deep impressions on that area of the mind which is responsible for memory. Visual stimuli tend to improve memory more than any other stimuli; thus, chess serves well in this area. It should also be noted that recall is also improved. Many of my subjects have claimed that they can now recall in detail events which would have been obscure to them before they had taken up the game seriously. It would seem, then, chess is definitely an excellent memory exerciser the effects of which are transferable to other subjects where memory i

CURRENT TO POLITE LIFE

Q-GENTLEMAN This society, composed, as it is, of many varying natures and elements, where each individual must submit to merge his own identity into the universal whole, which makes the word and state, is divided and subdivided into various cliques, and has a pastime for every disposition, grave or gay; and with each division rises up a new set of forms and ceremonies to be observed {4}  if you wish to glide down the current of polite life, smoothly and pleasantly. The young man who makes his first entrance into the world of society, should know how to choose his friends, and next how to conduct himself towards them. Experience is, of course, the best guide, but at first starting this must come second hand, from an older friend, or from books. A judicious friend is the best guide; but how is the young man to know whom to choose? When at home this friend is easily selected; but in this country, where each bird leaves the parent nest as soon as his wings will bear him safely up,

Chess Lessons: Manipulation

Image
. MANIPULATION What is Manipulation? An act of managing or changing to suit one's purpose. We learn cool abilities in chess. Some of which I wish I had learnt in primary, I can only imagine how great I would be today. One of these abilities which is also my favourite ability that I just recently mastered. The ability of Manipulation. This ability allow you to manipulate anything,  and if mastered, you will begin to do things that no one has ever thought  possible to do or accomplish. And this, is just one of the many abilities that chess teaches and empowers. Manipulation. In chess you are required to think ahead(this is called forethought), you think of several moves that you and your opponent can possibly make just after your next move. Now this is where manipulation comes in. In chess

My life is dramatically changing in every experience that I pass through. Thanks to Diana Theresa Mc Kerry, she's been patient in supporting and helping me out in hard times and sharing our struggle and the best gifts life has to offer. Mostly, I pray that we may be good example to our peers and youth out there, in everything we do. My advice is that, you must put God first in all your plans and remember to make Jesus the centre of your life and in your friendship, every relationship needs a friendly element. Diana has been here for me in and out. She's a blessing in my life, she has her own imperfections, however, I see her impacts in my life more than her impression. I see her soul and spirit not just her appearance. Good friends come from God. ❤

The Art of Proclaiming The word of God in difficult times

What are your limits in worshiping and praising God? Say you are facing a difficult challenge, your child, mother, father, girlfriend, boyfriend or whoever is close to your life, is about to passaway, or say you were writing an important examination or looking forward to positive results of something so important. You pray earnestly and diligently to the Lord and you just give it all you got, looking at the task in hand and just knowing that God is able to do exceedingly and above all, you know you can rely on him, and you can trust in him, hoping for the best from the Lord. However, say your child, mother, father, or whoever it may that you have been praying for, does not make it, or you don't get the results you were waiting for. Do you still worship, Praise, Glorify and proclaim The Name of The Most High Lord, The Name of Christ Jesus our Lord and Saviour, The Son of The Most High God? Do you? The difficult task or challenge is not your dying relative or examination's re

She has her own testimony to share with you and she will, because God does amazing things. This is only the beginning of perfect journey with the Father, because he has perfect plans for her." I have never seen her so happy. May God work in her and show her glorious days and marvellous things. May he rain and reign on her. In Jesus Christ mighty name Amen. I have never seen her so happy. May God work in her and show her glorious days and marvellous things. May he rain and reign on her. In Jesus Christ mighty name Amen.

Forever: Jesus addiction

All I need in my life is more of Jesus. The truth is I'm an addict of Jesus. So, you understand. I need him in order to live life. In this world there is nothing more to live for, a purpose, only in Christ Jesus will you find peace, joy and a purpose. My addiction has went on for more than 6 years, irrespective of that I grew up in church, now I try to stay in touch and searching. I seek more of him everyday. -Hlonela Christian Mzilikazi     @ChrisAchiao
